Skills for Life – It all starts with Skills
The DfE launched a new Skills for Life campaign “it all starts with skills” on 4 January 2024. It is aimed at young people, adults and businesses to make the most of their potential.
Whether switching careers, or just starting, “it all starts with skills” aims to equip people to make informed choices and act on them “right now”, rather than waiting for later.
The campaign will promote a range of opportunities including T-Levels; Skills Bootcamps; Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ’s); Free Courses for Jobs; Multiply; essential basic skills (e.g. English, Maths, Digital) and advice from the National Careers Service. It is hoped this will add simplicity to a complex system, something which was highlighted in the LSIP.
