Local skills & funding updates from around the county
LSIP Delivery Update – New Employment & Skills Board

The LSIP Board has now evolved into the Essex Employment and Skills Board (ESB) and met in November 2023, a key milestone of the plan.  Further information about the ESB can be found here and will be updated regularly. The Board reviewed progress to date and explored next steps.

The ESB also discussed sector groups to support work within the county and how these would be progressed. The eight priority sectors identified in the LSIP are

  1. Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Aviation
  2. Construction
  3. Transport & Logistics
  4. Health & Care
  5. DigiTech
  6. AgriTech & Food Tech
  7. Creative & Cultural
  8. Professional Services.
Where suitable forums already exist locally, these will be utilised to avoid duplication.

Further information on the groups will be shared soon along with how to get involved. In the meantime, you can register your interest in this or other LSIP here.
