We were very proud to launch the Aspirational Essex Programme at the Festival of Business.  It is an exciting programme for bold Employers and Providers to be part of system change and deliver an inclusive, skills-based, all-age education approach for Essex. It will focus on skills, not qualifications.

This programme is designed to enhance both the quality and visibility of opportunities for our residents by simplifying/joining up the system and encouraging employers to adopt model practices. 

Key points to bear in mind: 
Businesses, of any size or sector, are encouraged to make commitments around four themes raising skills levels, equality and access to employment/work experience and enhance employer participation in the community, with Businesses receiving a Bronze, Silver or Gold award based on their achievements.

Providers will be able to support their development through this programme, by starting as a committed provider, before becoming accredited when they demonstrate quality standards linked to provision/educational outputs and engagement in the wider skills system.

Benefits for businesses include overcoming challenges attracting and retaining a skilled workforce as well as demonstrating CSR and Social Value commitments. Benefits for training providers will be enhancing your training and education provision by understanding the skills local employers need now and in the future and for gaining access to our digital career’s platform, creating a source of learners and talent.
